Discipleship Practicum
Bible & Ministry Internship | Putting faith into action
This phase provides an opportunity for students to discover their calling and purpose through diverse ministry experiences while serving with their host organization.
During the practicum, students will continue to dig deeper into scripture in order to develop a strong foundation of faith through a guided independent study and personal mentoring.
National and overseas options are available.
Christian Community Development Internship
Christian Community Development Internship
In this final phase, participants will be given opportunity to use their experience and knowledge to develop and assist with community development projects. Students will be paired with ministries based on individual goals, strengths, and abilities. Locations may include local, national, and/or international.
Ministry Leadership Development Internship
Spend a season working side-by-side with Empower staff helping with the various community development projects and outreaches. Participants will have the opportunity to experience hands-on ministry, under the guidance of a mentor who encourages them towards personal, spiritual, and professional goals.
International Missions Internship — Sharing God’s heart with the world
In this final phase, participants will be given opportunity to use their experience and knowledge to develop and assist with an outreach project. Students will be paired with ministries based on individual goals, strengths, and abilities. Locations may include local, national, and/or international.
STRUCTURE
Study
12-15 hours weekly (2-3 hours for 5 days)

(at least 2 times a week)
Creative Presentation Reports
Students will submit reports for 3 ministry presentations completed during practicum (week 4, 8, 12)
Report will include overview, reflection & evaluation by ministry leader/host
Examples: leading a group study, worship/intercession time, teaching, facilitating activities, preaching, etc.
